Hazel aka "That damn cat"

I've had to take that damn cat to the vet again. He's been brawling with the neighbourhood cats again and had a weepy eye and the right hand side of his face and neck was all puffy. So I dropped him off at the vet yesterday morning and Handsomest picked him up in the afternoon.

The vet found the bite mark on the back of his head and tunnelled through the side of his head (under the skin) to clean out the wound which was festering on the side of his neck. He currently has two drains in his head and his head is shaved to the collar - he looks like a freak of nature. And for only AU$189.00, you too can have a cat that looks like he has crossed over to the dark side. Now I know why Darth Vader wears the bucket.

But don't feel sorry for him, he's brought it upon himself.

So, is he going to be ok?

In that case, I'll go ahead and say that perhaps you need to teach him to become a pacifist or at least how to win a fight.

Oh yeah, he'll be fine.

He had another abcess on the top of his head about a month ago which also required a trip to the vet. This suggests that there is a new cat in the area that is trying to muscle in on Hazel's territory.

Hopefully their differences are well and truly sorted now.

Yes, indeed blandwagon does speak for us all with that demand. If we got pictures of Sarah with the E-collar, we should get Hazel the bald cat.

Did you ever think that maybe Hazel was defending your honor?

The neighbor cat said "Your owners are no better than dogs."

And Hazel demanded he take it back. He wouldn't though.

So Hazel had to kick his butt.

Wow, 189! You got off easy. We've had Mr. B for 2 years and our ER vet trips have totalled almost $3000 US!

Good that Hazel is on the recovery.
