Woo hoo!
So yesterday I bought my ticket to Japan. I also forked out a small fortune on travel insurance - including the extra for asthma sufferers and snowboarding. I mean, let's face it, if anyone is going to get hit by a bus or fall off the side of a damn mountain, it will be me. For sure.

Could you at least try not to fall off a mountain? I don't think any of us would be happy if that were to happen.

remember to return with as less coinage as possible. some coins you can't exchange once you get back to oz.

i can't remember which coins i've still got because of the no exchange thing, but it's in the realm of the lowest denominations -travelex at the brisbane international airport were the only ones who would exchange japanese coinage at all.
i know it's a long way off, but i wish someone had of told me that before i returned from japan with a whole lotta coins, some of which i'm stuck with forever unless i return there.
