So the Pope (or the Big Boss Priest as we refer to him (more on this later)) has been visiting Australia and he's been on the news every time I turn the telly on.
Why does the Pope wear such snazzy red shoes? I mean the rest of the outfit is standard traditional gear - a fair bit fancier than your average, run of the mill, priest, but why the funky footwear?

I also found this odd, LG. For the record, the word around the U.S. during his recent visit was tha they were Prada, which I had a hard time believing. Considering the somewhat limited knowledge I have of this Pope, I would tend to side with Wikipedia's version. It seems the vatican likes to keep it local when they can.
