Squirmy can now get himself into the sitting position and so whenever he is put in his cot for a nap, this is what he does.

He wiggles down to then end of the cot nearest the door, and sits there waiting for me to open the door to check if he is asleep. Usually this is accompanied by howls of indignation at being left on his own in the baby cage.

You need to give him a little mug to bang against the bars, so he can make sure his protests are heard.
He does run the dummy along the bars for the same effect.
"C'MON YOU STINKIN' SCREWS, WHERE'S MY NUBBIE?"
